煜城:俄罗斯籍留学生

　　俄罗斯籍留学生煜城曾是我校人文学院国际经济与贸易专业本科生。该生自入校以来，学习努力、态度端正、学习成绩一直名列前茅。学习之余，煜城同学积极参加学院、学校组织的各类活动。在留动哈工大——中外学生趣味运动会、世界手牵手——俄罗斯之夜晚会等多项大型活动中担任俄语翻译志愿者。同时，他还加入call center社团，希望为促进更多中外留学生交流、学习服务。

　　Hello，my name is Sergey Emelianov，but I also have a Chinese name which is Yucheng. I am from Russia and I am 22 years old. I am studying International Trade and Economics in the School of Humanities and Social Science and junior now. It has been four years since I came to HIT.

　　Since I was very young，I have been very interested in China，as Russia has had a friendly relationship with China for a long time. My hometown，Ussuriysk，is also located very close to this country. Throughout my middle and high school, I hoped to learn the language and cultures of China, and finally made my decision to go abroad to study China by living，first hand，with the people there. I made this decision near the end of high school.

　　I was only 17 when I came to China. At first，I did not realize the challenge in learning an unfamiliar language and a new culture and endured lots of hardships. However，thanks to my awesome friends and teachers，I overcame them and adapted myself to life in China.

　　As time passed by，my Chinese became better and I made many good friends and this made me love this country more and more. Now，Harbin and HIT，is like a second hometown for me.

　　When I look back at my four years in HIT，I only remember happy and fun memories like;Chinese speaking competitions, lots of nice parties and performances，even if there was continuously never ending hard work and exams as well.

　　HIT offers plenty of chances besides regular classes for international students to have various experiences like Taiji boxing，calligraphy，and making Chinese traditional dumplings so they can enjoy their school lives. Owing to those HIT cares，I learned lots of new and interesting things that I could not have experienced in Russia，and I got to understand more about China.

　　Furthermore，I have learned about the culture of other countries from meeting many international students from all over the world and now I guess I could have friends in any part of world.

　　Lastly，I would like to say thank to my family, friends，teachers. Without their support and assistance so far，I would have not been able to get here.
